Reviews: No Paid Influence :
If I’m reviewing a product, it’s because I plan to utilize it in my workflow or homelab and I believe it evaulating it would bring value to my viewers! That means what you’re seeing is my genuine experience, not something shaped by a contract or talking points, therefore, I do not accept payment for product reviews.
Sponsorships & Editorial Control :
When I do consider sponsorships or product collaborations, I maintain full editorial control over the content. That includes how the product is presented, what’s tested, and the final opinion. I don’t agree to ‘pre-approved’ scripts, required messaging, or restrictions on what I can or can’t say. I’m open to manufacturers reviewing content strictly for factual accuracy, but that feedback must be limited to correcting objective errors—not influencing conclusions or tone.
What I Choose to Feature :
I only work with products that I would realistically use and that I believe will provide value to my audience. If it doesn’t fit my workflow or isn’t relevant to viewers, I’m not interested in forcing it into a video just to fill space.
My audience trusts that what I feature has a purpose, and I take that seriously.
Creative Independence :
I do not pursue collaborations that impose strict creative constraints—such as requiring a video to meet a specific runtime or structure. The length and format of my content are determined by what best serves the topic and the viewer, not by external requirements. The one exception is sponsored integration segments, where a clearly defined portion of a video may be dedicated to a sponsor message. Even in those cases, the integration is presented in my own voice and style, and remains consistent with the overall integrity of the content.
Communication and Expectations:
Clear communication and transparency are critical on both sides. Timely communication is especially important for keeping projects on track, particularly when working across different time zones. Delays in feedback or unclear expectations can quickly impact production timelines, so I prioritize responsiveness and expect the same level of professionalism from any brand I work with. I’ve found that setting expectations early—around scope, timelines, and what “review” actually means—helps avoid misunderstandings and keeps the collaboration running smoothly.
Timelines are based on real testing (not rushed deadlines), and communication should remain professional and respectful throughout the process. I don’t provide drafts for approval, and I don’t make revisions based on subjective feedback after a video is complete.
At the end of the day, my responsibility is to my audience. Any collaboration has to respect that. If it doesn’t, it’s simply not a good fit—and that’s okay!
